Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013

*a post I never published! I even forgot about it until I just looked in my feed. Oops!

It doesn’t surprise me that its been over a month since I have updated. I am really good at reading other people’s blogs, but updating my own seems to be my downfall. Christmas has come and gone, and now it is a new year! 2013. Wow where did 2012 go?

2012 was a great year! Nothing over the top happened, but everyday life happened and it was good. I am thankful to have had another year, full of ups and downs and all the in betweens!

Last time I updated I had just taken Luke to the doctors to check his ears. Well since then he got his tubes, and fingers crossed, he has not had an ear infection since…Praise God!! He was so miserable before!

We had such a great Christmas this year. We went up to our family cabin where it was nice and cold! It even snowed! ( I live in Arizona, I get excited when it drops below 60 degrees). It snowed on Christmas Eve, and spending time with family was such a blessing! Luke didn’t love the actual snow, but we went sledding down our street and he LOVED it!! He must have gone up and down that street 20 times!

Of course Santa and all of our family were so good to him and he got so many new things!! He is a lucky boy!

I got to spend over two weeks off of work for winter break with Luke. It was amazing!! I’ve said this before, but coming back to work after a break is REALLY hard. Luke got attached to mama, I got attached to Luke, and believe me there were tears shed on both parts come Monday morning.  It is Thursday and it’s still hard. I don’t think I’ll ever fully be 100% content until I get to stay home with my kid(s). I knew it wouldn’t be for a while, and I am thankful for my job, but it’s still hard.

My days are busy, but I get to come home to such a special boy and a wonderful hubby…..no matter how my days go….I am blessed!

I don’t have any “resolutions” this year. Just to continue my 90 day challenge with body by Vi, and become a better version of myself! I also want to be intentional in everything I do. Put my phone down more, and play on the floor with Luke more. Go to the park more and spend less time on my ipad. Make memories with my family, and not regret that we didn’t have more! Live with a purpose and live in the now. I admit that I can sometimes live in the “ What is going to happen next” mindset, that I don’t enjoy the now! Oh how I hope this changes this year!

Oh any blog more……….

Thanks for reading my ramblings!

Breanna

Hello...it's been so long!

I feel like I need to introduce myself again, it has been that long since I have blogged! I actually don’t think I ever really did “introduce myself” even when I started this blog! So here it is: I am a 27 year old, Wife, Mom and Teacher. I teach during the days and love on my sweet baby boy, (umm…he’s 2 now…I guess he is not a baby anymore L) when I get home! I have an amazing husband who I have been with for almost 10 years, and married for a little over 4 of those years! We have been through a lot, and I am so thankful for is selfless love and care that he has for our little family!

Okay, well what have we been up to?

~We moved into a new house! Right before we got married, Nick bought us a house out in the West Valley. As much as I loved it, we were really far from most of our families and wanted to live closer to family. So we did. We moved, and now live within 5 minutes of both of our parents. We have a yard for Luke to play in, and are close to Nicks work. My work on the other hand takes me about 30 minutes to get to now, but it’s not too bad!

~Luke turned 2 in March!! WHAT?!? How the heck do I have a 2 year old? I swear he was born yesterday! As much as it makes me sad how big he is, he is at SUCH a fun age! He is starting to talk like crazy, and understanding way more than I think he does. It is amazing what you say or ask him to do and he does it! He has a big boy bed now, (which is a whole new post to write about) and is taller than ever! Most people think he is way older than 2 when they see him! I just adore him and LOVE being his mama! (even with the lovely fits he is throwing lately)

~This school year is almost over for me….It has been quit the year. It was my first year teaching 5th grade. I was really blessed to work on such a great team, but man I have realized that I miss the little ones! Going from teaching 1st grade to 5th grade was a big jump, and as much as I loved their independence and maturity (ha, did I really just say that? For the most part, they were NOT very mature) I will not miss their “pre-teen” attitudes and the DRAMA! Oh my the drama!!! “I am mad at her because she was talking to the boy I like, and she knows I like him and she is just talking to him to make me mad” and blah blah blah……. It will NOT be missed! I wish my 5th graders all the best going into middle school, and truly do hope that some of them do a lot of growing(up) this summer! 6th grade is going to be a nice awaking for some of them!!!  Oh and I am teaching 2nd grade next year! Yay J

~It is getting stinking HOT here in AZ. I feel like we had a pretty nice winter this year. I felt like it stayed cool a little longer than usual, but man I feel like the heat just hit hard….. I really dislike excessive heat, so why I live in Arizona, I have no idea!! I love warm weather during the day, and then a cool down at night! But that doesn’t happen here once May hits!

~We don’t have much planned this summer, except a California trip in late July! Maybe we will get up north to the cabin a few times too!

Well that’s really all I have to update about! Kinda sad considering I haven’t blogged in almost 6 months! Hopefully I will be better at keeping up on my posts! Who likes reading a blog that never updates! Not me! But I am pretty sure only like 2 people at the most read this blog anyways!

Have a great Thursday!
