Ear Tubes and a few pictures!

I really need to stop writing my blog posts so late at night. I am exhausted and really need to go to bed, but I have things I want to write down!

I took Luke to the ENT doctor today! It went how I expected. He needs tubes in his ears :(. We have his surgery scheduled for next week. I know it is a pretty common procedure, but it still makes me nervous. I know he is in God's hands, but do you mind praying for my sweet little man?! Thank you!!

I know that once the tubes are in he will feel so much better! It's what is best for him!

Here is a picture of him today at the doctors office. He sat for about .2 seconds and the rest of the time he was running and climbing all over the room. I am sure the doctor thought I was parent of the year :/ He was obnoxious as I was trying to listen to the doctor explain everything to me. And then he pulled my necklace off and broke it. Awesome! The joys of having a 20 month old. Terrible 2's could quit possibly be poking it's ugly head out at us.....Am I ready for this?!?

Here are a few random pics from this week! He loves his baths!
Putting Ornaments on the tree......

Happy Tuesday!

It's hard....

Today is Monday….. The day after a holiday break is always hard for me. I long to be home with Luke so going to work after being with him is HARD. Don’t get me wrong, I am SO thankful for my job. I have a great job. I love my students, my coworkers and the school itself. But it is still hard to leave him and spend my day with 24 other kids. 20 school days until winter break…..I can do it!! Plus getting my summers off makes it worthwhile!

Luke has a doctor’s appointment tomorrow at the ENT (ears, nose, throat). The poor kiddo has had 5 or 6 ear infections in his 20 months of life! So sad!! Every time he gets a slight runny nose it goes straight to the ears and they get infected. We have been to the ER with him a few times because of it and countless doctors appointments. I am over it and I know he is too!! Hopefully he will just need tubes and it will help with the ear situations!

I never did write about our Thanksgiving. We actually didn’t end up spending it with our extended families. Luke was sick and we didn’t want to spread anything to the little cousins so we stayed home. It was a very quiet Thanksgiving, but I did attempt to cook a Thanksgiving meal. It turned out okay, but noting like what we are used too (Sorry Nick). I was very thankful for my little family and the time we got to spend together!

I put up the Christmas tree last night. It is an itty bitty little thing, but its perfect for us. I will hopefully get the ornaments on it tonight. As I was leaving for work this morning, Nick was teaching Luke to throw the candy cans at the tree and that’s how they stick. Lovely. New tradition? I asked if the tree was going to be still standing when I get home and he said he couldn’t promise me anything :)

I started my 90 day body by vi challenge today. So far I am doing well! I had a shake for breakfast and for lunch and ate a healthy dinner tonight! I also walked/jogged on the treadmill for 45 minutes tonight as well as did some light arm weights.  Gotta keep myself accountable! Writing it down should help. If I don’t change my ways, my body and habits won’t change either!

Hope you had a great Monday!

He got his mama's ears

I don't have a lot to write about tonight, but I just wanted to "write" a few things down.

Luke has yet another ear infection as well as croup (sp?). We ended up back at the ER last night because he had a high fever and was acting really miserable :( we have been to the ER 4 or 5 times in the last like 6 months. We need a frequent visitor pass or something ;/. They ended up giving him a steroid to help with the swelling of his throat ( from the croup) and then some antibiotics to finish up from his last ear infections. It's been never ending!! If there is a germ to get Luke will catch it and get sick. Starting "school" hasn't helped either! But.... Hopefully as they say, he will have a strong immune system when he gets older! That sounds peachy in all but I (and I am sure he) would really like to not get sick so often right NOW!!! It's awful watching your child feel miserable. I would take his place any second! But I know it's life and we handle it the best way we can!

With all that said, we will not be spending Thanksgiving with any family tomorrow :(
The doc said he is contagious for up to 5 days and we don't want to get anybody sick. I am so sad to not be with our families tomorrow :( but as long as Luke is on the mend then I am SO thankful for that! I am even considering maybe trying to make a Thanksgiving meal myself for just us. I usually only bring the pie to Thanksgiving so making an actual meal could be a challenge, but I just my try and see!!

Well little man is asleep and Nick is at work, so I am going to watch, "Magic Mike".

Goodnight!

Random thoughts

Happy Monday!
I only have a 2 day work week and then it's Thanksgiving break! Thank goodness! I couldn't decide on one topic to write about so I thought I'd just do a random thoughts post!

1. I can't wait to enjoy Thanksgiving with family on Thursday. It really is one of my favorite holidays. SO much to be thankful for!

2. I need my hair colored so bad! I'm gong for the all natural ombré look without trying.... And it's not cute!

3. Luke slept horrible last night... Hoping he gets a better night sleep tonight! (I am exhausted too)

4. I am in a dinner rut. I need more healthy ideas ASAP. Prefferably kid friendly too :)

5.  My house is a mess.....

6. What it is it about cooler weather that makes my skin go crazy! My hands are so dry they keep cracking and bleeding. Gross and painful.

7. To be honest, I'm kind of missing the crazy exercise lady for the Target black Friday commercials this year. What happened to her?!?

8. I'm really excited to start my 90 day body by vi challenge on Monday. Join me please?!?

9. Confession: I am watching "Dancing With the Stars" just to see the "Bachelor" season premier commercial for next season. I'm cool like that!

10. I will never buy microfiber couches again.....

Okay, my random thoughts have become REALLY random so I will stop!

Have an awesome Tuesday tomorrow my friends!

Catching Up and Body by Vi

How have I gone over 3 months without posting? I have thought of about a million blog posts to write about, but never actually sat down to write. Life is as crazy as ever! Luke is 20 months old already! I can't believe in 4 months I will have a 2 year old. Where has the time gone? I say that all the time, but really where has it gone? He is at such a great/fun stage. Learning all sorts of new words and becoming a little person! I will do a whole "20 Month" post on him soon!
I plan on blogging more. I just need to get in a habit. I've never been one to stick to something for too long, so it's about time! Speaking of Habit..... I am about to embark on a journey that will help me change my lifestyle. Not that my life is bad! But I mean my eating and over all health lifestyle. I am starting a 90 day challenge to get in great shape and become as healthy as possible. I have ALWAYS been one that needs to watch what I eat and exercise. If I don't, well, I gain weight. I am NOT one of those people that is just naturally thin. I never have been. The only times I have been thinner was when I was consistently working out and watching what I ate, something I should be doing anyways , but I still never would reach my ultimate goal. . Well to jump start my way to a healthier lifestyle I am going to be doing a 90 day challenge with the Body by Vi products. I am so excited to get started! I did a trial of the yummy shakes for a couple of days and LOVED them. They were so good and kept me full! I also had great natural energy and felt better those couple of days than I have in a really long time!
I am no salesperson by all means. I actually HATE when people try to sell me things, but I want to encourage YOU to take this challenge with me! Even if I don't know who you are! If you want to get healthier, have more energy and lose weight, join me! If it doesn't work for you, there is no pressure to keep using the products! Give it a try and see what you can accomplish in 90 days! I am looking forward to my next 90 days! oh and one of the best parts is I will be saving money each month on grocery bills! I am really looking forward to that!

Visit my website and take a look around and if you have any questions please feel free to ask!
And to leave you on a cute note:

16 Months Old!

My sweet little man is 16 months old today! He is changing so much lately and growing up way too fast!! We are having a blast together, and I am SO blessed by him!

Here is what you are up to:

~You are 29.8 lbs
~You are 34.6 inches tall (holy cow, you grew over 2 inches since your 12 month appointment)
~You wear size 4 diapers and size 24month/2T or some 3T clothes!
~You are sleeping through the night for the most part. Every now and then you wake up, but you usually go back to sleep on your own. Your bed time is 8:00pm and you usually get up between 5:30am-6:30 (or 7:00 if I am lucky)
~You are still taking two naps a day
~You don't sit still EVER!! I am SO glad you are so healthy and active, but goodness you are a crazy boy!!!
~You love to be outside and able to run free! We went to Colorado this summer ( I will write a whole different post about that soon) and you had a blast. So much playing and running around!!
~You are generally a good eater. You are a texture person, so usually if you don't like something its because of the texture. You always feed your food to Bear. It never fails.
~You are starting to really communicate with us now. We have taught you a few signs and you use them like crazy. You say and sign "more" and "eat" all day long! I love that you are telling us what you are wanting though! You sign for: sleep, ball, please and thank you(only sometimes, we are working on those).
~ You babble so much! You sound like you are telling stories all of the time. I wish I could translate the things you are trying to say. It makes your daddy and me laugh because you say it like it is the most important information ever!
~You say quit a few words, but only use them every now and then!
~ You have a little temper and are throwing some lovely fits every now and then!
~You LOVE your daddy!
~You are SO ticklish. Your laugh while getting tickled is THE. BEST. THING. EVER!!!
~You love getting chased and run everywhere. You rarely walk anywhere. Running is your choice of transportation!
~Bear is your best buddy. He takes a lot of pulling and grabbing most days!
~You are so funny when I vacuum. You run around the house screaming and making this really funny noise {I tried to type our what the noise sounds like, but it just didn't look right}. It cracks me up!
~You look like you are about 2 years old! Please stop growing up SO fast!!!

Luke,
My little buddy. I can't believe 16 months has approached us! You are beyond a blessing to me and I can't imagine my life without you. Your love and innocence for life is so contagious and I find myself wanting to bottle that up and never let you grow up! You are growing up and as sad as that makes me, I am loving watching and learning new things about you everyday. You have made me such a better person and I couldn't thank you enough for that!

I love you SO much sweet boy!

Love,
Mama

15 months old {and all the time in between}

15 months old! I can't believe it! I kind of skipped the 13 and 14 month posts. Not because I meant to, but because life got crazy and the blog took a back burner. I don't like to forget to "write" things down, but I am going to do my best with remembering everything that has happened and is happening now!

What has Luke been up to since he turned the big ONE.......

~You still wear a size 4 diaper, although I think we are ready to go up to size 5!
~You wear size 24 months or 2T clothes. And some 3T. You are a big boy!
~I am not sure how much you weigh but when you went to the doctors a month ago you were just on the edge of 29 pounds. I am guessing around 29-30 pounds. You go to your 15 month appointment soon, so I will know more about your height and weight then!
~You wear a size 6 shoe, but are more comfortable in a size 7...you have huge feet my little man!
~You are completely off the bottle and only drink from sippy cups now.
~You went through a really picky eating phase during your 13-14 months. I know you were teething really bad, so I think that had something to do with it. You also got another ear infection :(. Thankfully this time the meds worked and we didn't end up in the hospital. (Thank you God).
~With that said, you got all four of your molars( I think that's what they are called?) at the same time. Ouch my love. No wonder you didn't want to eat anything :(.
~I think you have a total of 14 teeth now. Or somewhere close to that.
~You like to throw all of your food to Bear. We have to put him outside or in another room while you eat. If we don't then you don't eat. Such a stinker you are!! :)
~You are talking/babbling so much! You say~Mama, Dada, Ball, Down, Row, Row {as in Row, Row, Row Your boat, one of your favorite songs right now} Ashes, Ashes {again, because Ring Around the Rosie is another one of your favs}, Ready, Set, Go {more like Re, Se, Goooo}, More {and you sign it at the same time}, No!!!{All.DAY.LONG. Probably because I say it all day long to you. Oops},  bye bye, Nigh Night, Sleep, Go, Bear, Uh Oh, I {working on I Love You...so far we only have the I down}, Milk {More like Mil....we are working on the K part}, and 5 million other babbles that I wish I could figure out. You love to sit in front of your Spider man toy and talk to him! So funny!
~You literally run everywhere you go! I love seeing your little legs moving and you get so excited!
~You don't sit still for more than 2 seconds. It's made for some really awesome restaurant moments!
~You have really slimmed out and are SO tall!
~You are eating pretty well, but I don't know what your favorite foods are right now. You switch it up on me and keep me guessing on what you will actually eat. It varies day to day. I can usually get you to eat~ spaghetti, pesto pasta, grilled cheese, p b and j, mac and cheese, hot dogs, rice, cheese quesadilla, pizza, turkey, chicken, bagels {most breads really}, avocado, strawberries, grapes, blueberries, raspberries. applesauce, you love the fruit/veggie pouches. I think your all time favorite right now is string cheese!
~You are going through a hitting stage. Not sure where it is coming from, and I don't think you mean it to be mean {okay, sometimes you do}, but I am not liking it. You are so sweet, but can get a little stubborn and then you hit. Not sure where you got that from {not me nope, has to be your dad ;)}
~You love to tickle people. You make a cute tickle tickle noise while you do it. LOVE it! With that said, you are really ticklish. I can admit 100% you go that from me! You hate to be tickled, yet you love it at the same time! :)
~You are still taking two naps a day. Usually at around 10am and 4pm. But I think you are getting ready to move it to just one nap a day.
~You are sleeping through the night. Usually from 8pm-7am ish {although, since mommy has been on summer break you have been sleeping in until 8:30 for the past week. Thank you baby. I am sure I have now just cursed myself and you will be up at 5 am tomorrow :)}
~Your hair is coming in blond and your eyes are still pretty dark, but I can't pinpoint the color. They are a brownish/greyish/greenish color.
~You are a little sponge and repeat so many things you hear. { Nicholas, if you are reading this you know what I would say to you about this :)}
~ You LOVE your daddy! He is pretty much your all time favorite person ever! And as much as I joke with you and daddy about it.....I am SO glad you have such a great man in your life that would do absolutely anything for you! Such a blessing.
I LOVE your squishy cheeks :)

Your favorite bears!

You love brushing your teeth!

This is usually the face I get when I ask you to smile :)

Well my love,

You have continued to bless your daddy and I more and more each day we spend with you! You are such an amazing little boy that has taken hold of our hearts. You have made motherhood a pure joy and I look forward to all the wonderful times we have ahead.

I am so proud to be your mama.

I love you baby,

Mama

Catching Up!

I am SO far behind on my blog. SO much has been going on, but at the end of the day I never actually sit down to write. Luke is 15 months old already! Holy cow where has the time gone? I feel like I say that every month, but seriously...... It's weird to be at the point in life where I am getting the " So, when are you going to have your next baby?" Um, I still have a baby, what are you talking about? Just kidding, just kidding...kinda. As much as I have always wanted at least 3 kids, I am really content with just my family of 3 at the moment. Luke is SO much fun right now, it is hard for me to think of the possibility of feeling like I am going to throw up all day long and take care of a baby Toddler. If someone could guarantee me that I won't feel as sick as I did with Luke during my next pregnancy, heck I'd be popping kids out left and right ( okay, not really.....that sounded kinda weird). I LOVED being pregnant, so when the time is right for our family, I will be more than ready!

Besides my baby boy growing like a weed, I am FINALLY done with teaching for the summer! PTL! That was THE longest school year of my life!! We had to extend the year by two weeks to make up for the time that we lost due to the move, so I just gone done on Friday. I never thought it was going to end. So many things happened this year that I would never wish upon to any teacher, but now that I look back, it helped me to realize how flexible you to have to be when you are a teacher and I have personally realized how well I can adapt to any situation. I like to think of it as a really great life lesson and I am now moving on.....

With that said, I had decided that after this school year I was going to try and find a job teaching closer to my house. I was driving close to 30 miles each way to work every morning and evening, in horrible traffic. It would take me close to an hour to get to work and from work each day. SO much time wasted in my car. I always joked that I should get Rosetta Stone in my car and learn a new language. As the year was coming closer to an end, I began to get calls for interview in the school districts close to my house. I had a few interviews that I thought went great, and a few that I knew from the minute I sat down it was not a place I wanted to work. To make a long story short....I wasn't getting any offers and I was getting pretty discouraged. I had even contemplated staying at my current school, so that I would have a job. Well little did I know that God was just waiting for the perfect job for me to come along.... In the Spring of 2010 I did my student teaching at a really great school in a really reputable district. I had an amazing mentor teacher and a wonderful student teaching experience. When I was done student teaching, that school wasn't hiring, so I ended up at the school I just taught the last two years at. Well two weeks ago, the school I student taught at invited me back for an interview and they offered me the job on the spot!!! Yay!! So it is official.....I will be teaching 5th grade next year!!!  I am beyond excited. I never imagined that I would be teaching 5th grade, but the more and more I get used to the idea the more excited I get! I know that my students are going to challenge me and I hope in return I will challenge them and have a really awesome school year! I feel beyond blessed and am going to LOVE my 8 mile drive to work every day!!! :)

Now that I am on Summer break, I am ready to just relax as much as I can, and spend time with my sweet Luke! Being a stay at home mom has always been a dream of mine, so while I am not home full time yet, it is nice that I can do my second passion for 9 months and then get to be home for the other 3 months....it's a win win for now :)

I plan on doing an entire post about Luke tomorrow. He is SO funny these days and I have SO many things to "write" down so that I will never forger this amazing time in our lives.

Happy Monday my friends!

Mother's Day 2012 {just a little late}

I never did write about my Mother's day this year! It was such a perfect day! We went to church and then my boys sent me off the the spa! It was heavenly! After the Spa we met up and went and saw my mom at the memorial garden! I needed to see my Mama on Mother's day too :) Then we just hung out the rest of the day! Such a great day! Thank you to my sweet husband for making me feel so special!

Sunday, Funday!

This post is going to be short and sweet. I am trying to type this on my iPad, which takes forever! Nick and I took Luke to the Wild Life World Zoo today! We had a really good family day! Luke seemed to have had a good time! Other than it being a little toasty out, Nick and I enjoyed it also! Here are a few pics from our day!(actually I lied, my stinkin' iPad won't let me add pics.... They will follow soon!) Happy Sunday!

Kelly's Korner- Friends!

Good Morning!!
Yesterday I linked my blog to Kelly's Korner. Her link was for people searching their area for people that blog or to become "friends" with. I am kind of a shy person, but really enjoy meeting new people. Friends can be hard to find, and yes I have a handful of amazing women in my life that I am lucky to call friends, but it never hurts to meet new ones! Becoming a mom has opened a whole new window for "friends". It would be nice to have a network of moms to share the everyday happenings that go on! Anyhoo I guess a little about me is in store in case any new "friends" read my blog!

I am a mid 20's(actually more like "later" 20's, but who's counting) Wife and Mom. I have been married for 3 years to a wonderful man! We have a 13 month old son, Luke that has been the biggest joy in our lives! I have lived in Arizona for most of my life, but have moved around a few times in between. I am currently a 1st grade teacher, that has had a crazy teaching year! I truly believe it is a blessing in disguise and everything will work out for the best! I love to spend time with my family and friends, shop, read, photography(my dream is to be a photographer someday) and traveling (Hawaii is my favorite vacation spot, and hope to back again, hint hint to my hubby if he is reading this :). I love being a mom and never in my life did I think I could ever love somebody so much! I look at him and realize how much my parents love(d) me and I never truly knew how much until I became a parent! It's amazing how life changes when you have a child. My life is crazy, trying to be the best wife, mom and teacher has been challenging. I thank God everyday for the many blessings he has given me, but I couldn't get through this crazy life without him!

Thanks for stopping by!

The first year!

I am VERY late on this post. I started it on Luke's birthday but then never finished it! Life has been CRAZY busy, but I didn't want to forget to "write" it all down......

We celebrated Luke's actual birthday (on 3/17/12) with a small little family/friends party! We had such a great time! My in-laws were so great to let us host the party at their house! I tried to make it as simple yet memorable as possible! I went with a red/aqua color scheme and really loved how it looked! We celebrated the life of my sweet boy and am so blessed to have such great family members and friends to share it all with!

We just had simple BBQ foods for lunch and enjoyed the rest of the day just handing out!

Here are a few pics, I am still waiting on some from my MIL, so I will add more later....I realized how few pictures I took...AND I didn't get one picture with Luke...how sad is that? I am always behind the camera or I was just too busy I didn't even think about it :( I really need to be better at stepping around the camera and letting someone else take pics!

Luke,
My first born, my little love,

I can't believe you are ONE year old! This past year really flew by! You have changed our lives more than you will ever know! You are such a little character and have become such a sweet, crazy little man! You are growing so fast, and I miss your babyness(is that even a word?) but LOVE watching you develop such a wonderful, unique personality. I still look at you and wonder what I did to deserve such a wonderful, perfect gift? God is SO good and created you so perfect for us! Your dark eyes, blond hair, and chubby cheeks are just a few things that make you who you are, but the way you babble, walk, laugh, play, smell, are all things I will never forget. You make me such a better person my little love and I am so thankful for YOU!

Here is what you are up to:

~You weigh close to 27 pounds
~You wear a size 4 diaper
~You are wearing mostly 24 month clothes (some, but very few 18 months still fit)
~You are about 32 inches long
~You say mama, daddy, ball, no, yes, uh oh, Sllll(for sleep), and you sign the words, more, all done, sleep, ball, baby, and eat. (we are working on please and thank you at the moment)
~ You are now drinking whole milk. You like it, but will only drink it from a bottle. You will drink water all day long in a sippy cup, but if we put milk in the sippy cup you won't drink it. We have been caving in and only giving you your milk in a bottle still, but are really trying to get rid of the bottle all together!
~You are practically running these days. You never slow down unless you are sleeping! You get so excited about certain things and squeel and run in circles.
~You have 9 teeth and two more are popping through as we speak.
~You love food, but getting you to eat has been a little challenging. You want to be on the go all day long, so putting you in your high chair and actually getting you to eat is a battle.
~You sleep through the night, and take 2 naps during the day. Naps are a little unpredictable, but they are usually about 2 hours each.
~Daddy is still taking care of you during the days, and then when I get home, daddy leaves for work :( we miss him at night :(
~You LOVE to be outside. You would live outside if you could. If you are ever cranky, just take you outside and you are good to go! I try to take you to the park at least a couple times a week, and take you on my workouts in the stroller. You love Auntie Britt's house because they have such a great backyard for you to play in!
~You are hard to taking shopping with. You just want out of your stroller/cart and if you can't get out you will let the whole world know it! You have a little voice on you and can scream really loud! You are pretty easy going, but if you are doing something you don't like, you will scream!
~You love playing peek-a-boo and think it is hilarious!
~You love cars, Elmo, balls, and bubbles!

You are such a JOY!!!

Well my love, we made it a whole year! I can't wait to see what the next year brings us!!

love,
Mama

A year in photos

I can't believe Luke will be ONE tomorrow!! It just baffles my mind that he is already 1, but at the same time that he has ONLY been in our lives for 1 year!

I will write more tomorrow for his 1 year post, and birthday party!

Here is a little year in photos collage....

Happy Friday Friends!

March

Well here it is....March, my favorite month of the entire year!

There are many reasons I love the month of March, not only is it a beautiful time of year here in Arizona, but I have had some amazing things happen in this month. Lets start off with a list...

1. In March of 2004, Nick and I began "officially" dating. I went to Oklahoma with his family to see him graduate boot camp. Keep in mind I had only known him 2 weeks, when I met him that previous December before he went back for his last 3 months of boot camp. His mom must have known this was the real deal to invite a girl on a family trip to go see him! (oh, how I LOVE my MIL)

2. Nick left for Afghanistan in December of 2006, but had to go to North Carolina first for training. He got to come home for a week in MARCH before he was off to Afghanistan.

3. Nick got horribly sick in Afghanistan with Malaria when he only had about 3 months left in Afghanistan. He was sent to Germany to get treated at their hospital. He got sent back to the states, but he still had to got to Fort Huachuca until the rest of his troops got home, and guess which Month that was...MARCH! He was finally home for good!

4. I really wanted to get married in March, but the location we wanted only had February 28th available. So we took it. It was only 1 day away from being in March. I know this technically doesn't count, but still, it was so close!

5. Last, but certainly not least, my sweet, sweet baby boy was born in March. March 17,  2011 was the best day of our lives!!

March will forever be such a great month for me, for so many reasons. I look forward to it every year!!

Speaking of March....my little man will be 1 in 13 days. I can't even believe it!!

Anniversary

Today is Nick and I's 3 year wedding anniversary! I feel like it has been so much longer than that!! Marriage has been such an amazing adventure! I love my husband more and more every day. With him becoming a daddy this year, it makes me love him even more!!

Nick is such a great supporter, lover, comforter, and friend! I am so lucky to have such a great man by my side! Life isn't perfect, but we get through this crazy life together and I couldn't be more grateful!

Thank you Nicholas for being just what I needed to come into my life 8 years ago. I love you so very much!!

We are just staying in tonight, since it's a school/work night!! I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate my marriage than being with my two boys!! We are going to go out this weekend while Luke is at his Granpa Rays house!

Happy Tuesday my friends!

11 months old!

My sweet 11 month old!

Luke,
My sweet boy, you are 11 months old!! I say this every month, but I really can't believe how fast you are growing!
This is your last month before you are going to be a big 1 year old! Gosh, so hard to believe!
You are an amazing little boy and I can't even begin to explain how big of a blessing you are!
Here is what you are up:
~You are around 25 ish lbs and I would say around 31-32 inches long ( I will know exactly at your 1 year appintment, but thankfully we haven't had to go to the doctor since you were in the hospital)
~You wear a size 4 diaper and size 18-24 month clothes.
~ You are fully walking and have been for a while now. It is crazy to see you walking everywhere. You are so independent now....until you want to be held, then you let us know!
~You love to eat!! You are eating mostly big boy foods, and not jarred baby food anymore. You love, grilled cheese, yogurt, bananas, cheerios, avacodo, squash, sweet potatoes, pb & j sandwhiches, eggs, waffles, mac and cheese, cottage cheese, shredded cheese, (anything cheese as you can tell), peas, carrots, potatoes....okay, really anything at this point you love....besides watermelon. You hated it and made the funniest face while trying it!
~You eat everything on your own, which is nice, I can give you dinner and try to cook dinner for us at the same time! That is where your new independence has come in handy!
~You still don't love sippy cups but we are trying!
~You only have about 4 bottles a day...we are trying to taper you down, and get you ready for regular milk next month!
~You are starting to take more consistant naps. 2 naps a day lasting around 1 1/2-2 hours long! You are also sleeping through the night, from about 7:30pm-between 6:30 and 7:00am! I am so thankful that you are starting to sleep better!
~You have a new found love of Winnie the Pooh. Daddy bought you a little stuffy of Pooh bear and you LOVE him! You squeal when you see him and hug and try to bite his face! Love it! You also love Elmo!
~We should have never introduced you to the Ipad, becasuse now every time you see it, you think it is for you to watch videos on. If we don't turn it on for you, you throw a little fit....lovely babe.
~You still have light hair and dark eyes. SO handsome!
~You have 9 teeth, and they all show so well when you laugh. Your laugh is to die for!
~You are so funny at night when you start to get tired. You look like you are drunk and have so much crazy energy. Then you crash!
~You are such a crazy boy....and all boy you are. I think we are going to have our hands full with you!
~You say mama and dadda like crazy, but still not much of anything else. You know what we are asking you now and when we ask you what certain things are or where they are you know where to look....we are working on the vocabulary as much as possible!
~You love Bear, he is your best buddy and takes quit the beating from you!
~You hate to be changed and it is a two man job if ever possible!
~You are starting to get a little cuddly and like to give hugs....I love it so much!

Well baby, this month has been a blast. I love you more than anything and am SO grateful for you my love!

Love,
Mama
He loves his Winnie The Pooh Bear!

He is a wild man!
Watching Elmo, of course!

Luke and Bear...they are best friends!
