A day in our life

I read a few blogs that have documented a typical day in their life. I thought that I would "write" mine down, so in the future I will remember what my days were like at this moment!

I can't say that we have any "typical" days. I work Monday-Friday, so Luke is with Nick on Monday, Wednesday's and Thursday's. He is then with my sister on Tuesday's and Friday's! So really the only days that I am consistently with Luke during the days are on Saturday's and Sunday's!

On the weekends, here is how our days usually run:

~Luke wakes up at around 6:00am
~I change his diaper and then we go out to the living room to hang out.
~Once he is awake enough, I put him in his jumper or lay him in his pack n play and make him his bottle.
~He usually eats around 6:30 or 7:00am
~We then play on the floor for the next hour or so
~He takes his morning nap around 8:00. It can last anywhere between 30min-1 hour.
~At around 9:00am I will feed him either a fruit or veggie and then a bottle.
~We will then play again on the floor, or he will play in his jumper for a little while. I sometimes try to get some things done around the house, but to be completely honest, I usually just lay or sit on the floor with Luke and relax with him. I don't get to do it often, so I take advantage of it!
~He will take another little nap between 12:00-1:00pm. He is not a long napper, but he takes little ones throughout the day.
~I will then feed him another fruit or veggie and another bottle. (he has a bottle about every 2-3 hours and fruit or veggies 3 times a day)
~The rest of the day we just hang out. Either on the floor in his jumper or we sometimes run errands until around 6ish (I try to be home by 6ish to start our nightly routine)
(The rest of this list is a Monday-Sunday ritual. Once I am home from work Mon-Fri, this is still what we do each night!)
~Between 6:30-7:00pm I feed him dinner (either a fruit or veggie and some oatmeal)
~I then give him a bath, lotion him up, put his jammies on let him wiggle around on the blanket on the floor and then feed him his last bottle around 7:45pm ish!
~He is in bed between 8:00pm-8:15pm!
~He for the most part will sleep through the night. Every now and then he will wake up to eat.
~We then do it all over again the next day!!

I LOVE my weekends with Luke! It always makes it really hard to go back to work on Monday's :( But, you gotta do what you gotta do! He is taken such good care of during the weekdays, which I am SO thankful for!

I have the next 2 weeks off to be able to spend my days with my little man, and I am cherishing every moment!
