I never did finish my girlfriend post that I started months ago. I am slacking on my blog posts these days. I just feel like I am mentally checked out of life right now. Has that ever happened to you?
ahh side note....I HATE when telemarketers come to my door and ring my doorbell 3 times, ESPECIALLY when my baby is sleeping! Can't they figure out when no one comes to the door the first time that they aren't going to come!!!
Anyways...sorry, got off topic!
Well today I really want to talk about my Best Friend, Tina DuPont!! When I think about my sweet friend I get tears in my eyes. I never knew I was going to meet such an incredible person and friend!
I met Tina in 2008. We were in the Elementary Education program together at ASU! The best part of collage was meeting her and getting to spend so much time together! When we graduated, I think the hardest part for us was not only were we now in the real working world, but we didn't get to spend as much time together.
Tina and I became instant friends. I felt like from the moment I met her that she truly understood me and she was one of those people that you cherish and long for as a friend. As we tell each other, we feel like we are soul friends. I feel like God gives you friends of all sorts. I have my good friends, my friends that are like sisters, friends that I don't talk to often, but I know are always there for me, and then friends that make you step back and say, "I am so lucky to be friends with this person." Tina has been there for me since the day I met her. She can usually tell what kind of mood I am from the second I answer the phone. She usually calls me at the moments I need her the most, without even knowing, and can usually finish my sentences when I have forgotten what I was saying! :)
Tina lives in Tucson, which is about 2 1/2 hours away from where I live :( she moved there with her fiance so that he could go to Law School at University of Arizona. As much as I am sad that she is not here in Phoenix, she is where she should be for the time being. Skype dates and occasional weekends are going to have to do until they get back!
One of the best things about Tina, is how much she loves Luke. It makes my heart happy that Luke has such wonderful people in his life, especially Tina. She is such an awesome Auntie! Half of the time she calls me, I really think she just wants to know how Luke is doing :)
How do I wrap up a blog entry about such an amazing friend? I guess with a thank you.
Tina,
Thank you for being the friend I always needed, but never had until I met you. Thank you for loving me no matter where I am in life. Thank you for your selflessness, and loving me as such a true friend. You will never truly know how much I cherish our friendship. You may be one of my "newer" friends, but I feel like I have known you forever.
Thank you for being my soul friend!
Some good tangents…
